Regional Sales Manager – Southern USA & Latin America


The role of the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) position is to improve AWC market position and achieve financial growth within the Southern USA and Latin America. AWC RSMs help define long-term organizational strategic goals, build key customer relationships, identify business opportunities, negotiate and closes business deals, and maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions.
In their capacity with the company, RSM are required to work with the internal team, marketing staff, and the management group to increase sales opportunities and thereby maximize revenue. To achieve this, an RSM needs to find potential new customers, make sales presentations, and ultimately convert them into clients, and continue to grow business in the future.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop, support, and manage a Representative Network and/or direct sales force in in the given region
  • Extensive travel throughout the region
  • Make sales calls and presentations to various parties including end users, engineering consultants, contractors, or other types stakeholders
  • Provide all necessary training and support to Representative Network or direct sales force to ensure maximum effectiveness when pursuing opportunities on behalf AWC.
  • Collaborate with senior executives to establish and execute a sales goal for the region
  • Achieve regional sales operational objectives by contributing regional sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining regional sales system improvements; implementing change.
  • Meet regional sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Maintain and expand customer base by counseling Representative Network and/or direct sales people; building and maintaining rapport with key customers; identifying new customer opportunities.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks.

  • Proven work experience as a Regional Sales Manager or similar senior role
  • A deep level of understanding of water and wastewater treatment processes
  • Ability to measure and analyze key performance indicators
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in MS office suite and experience with CRM software
  • Results-driven mentality
